Bridal Gowns

Bride and GroomThe Wedding Gown, for most women, represents far more than just a dress. It is the culmination of a dream that perhaps one has nurtured since childhood. Factors such as tradition, fashion, sensuality and propriety need to be captured all in the one dress. You want your gown to reflect who you are and who you wish to portray on your special day.

When you start your discussions of a wedding dress the fabric is the most important element, it dictates the drape, shape and cut of a dress. The next element is neckline and bodice, the shape of skirt, the length of train, and the embellishments if any you wish to have, and each component of a gown deserves equal attention.

The fabric element is what holds the entire concept of a gown, whether it is a formal or modern chic style you are going for, the fabric will affect the way the dress looks. Precise draping of a structured gown will require fabrics with the necessary body, stiffness or substance. Some brides prefer a more casual approach to wedding attire, or a sleek wedding gown can strike the perfect sensual look, or delicate frills a more whimsical look. Lace is the ultimate traditional fabric, less used today, it can still create a delicate sophisticated gown.

Other considerations are time of day, and season it will be worn. With more and more ceremonies taking place outside of religious places, space becomes an important factor, a detachable train may be the order of the day.

At Designs by Bisa your dream gown becomes a reality, as we create a custom gown as individual as you are.
